Thief Gold

Courtesy of TinyShopkeeper, I'll be playing this re-release of "Thief: The Dark Project," an action-adventure stealth game developed by Looking Glass Studios and published by Eidos Interactive in 1998. It was a trendsetter for its time, using both aural and visual stealth mechanics, and the game forced you to play intelligently because, in the manual's own words, "You are not a tank."Now, I'm not that familiar with the game, although I did play and enjoy the demo back in the day (as did many others). However, this is not my preferred genre. I think the last time I even sat down and toyed with it was at least a decade ago. So, Garrett's probably not going to look good on my watch. I'll get over it.I'll be recording this series in 640x480, and you will not be getting HD resolution. My five year old laptop can run Unreal Tournament 3 at max quality, but it was not made to record. If it's going to be an issue for you (along with my normally abrasive voice), don't worry: I get it.This series is part of the "Rewarding the Rewarders" 2012-2013 opportunity I offered last year. As of right now, there is an ongoing opportunity for 2013 to probably 2015. The signup phase will end on July 31st. You can learn more about it by watching the second half of this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6xvyOMrD9UI will continue to tinker with game and recording settings throughout this series, I'm sure, so if there's a problem, I might just end up fixing it. But don't get your hopes up. I'm a bad person to anticipate.
